The Taylor wedding was my all time favorite wedding of my internship. It was at the new wedding venue in College Station called Peach Creek. It was absolutely beautiful, and a picture perfect wedding spot. The ceremony space was a barn style with a beautiful arch (that took FOREVER to put together). The reception was in the same space as the ceremony, but was separated by a really pretty curtain. We created about 30 centerpieces, and the arbor had 3 pieces that were attached on site. This was a learning day which I really loved. I love being able to learn things hands-on, because it helps me make better decisions later on. The arbor pieces were created in the shop with floral foam and cages. It ended up that the arbor was not as straight as we were assuming. It was incredibly difficult to attach the very heavy pieces to the sides, and we ended up having to basically take apart the caged pieces and redo them once they were attached. Even though it took a lot longer than planned, I had so much fun.
My favorite part of the day was when we delivered the bouquets to the bridal suite. Her mother had warned us that she was incredibly nervous, as anyone would be, and needed something to distract her. We brought in the bridal party's bouquets and you could instantly see her face light up. It washed away any ounce of anxiety because she knew everything came out the way she wanted it. She even came into the barn to help us place the arbor pieces, and cake flowers.
