Delivery Girl

Today was my second day on the job, and although I didn't design much, I was able to do something else that I enjoy. For most of the day I was on delivery. There are so many studies that say that a flower or floral arrangement can change the attitude of people when they are gifted them. You never really know the true impact that it can have on someone until you experience it. I was able to go to the local hospital and deliver two arrangements to sick people. I could tell instantly that they felt completely loved. It could have even given them the motivation to get better and lift their spirits.

Although delivery is not the dream of every floral designer, it was great to see all of the aspects of working in a shop. In the industry, you might not always have the opportunity to work strictly with flowers. Sometimes you gotta do the dirty work or do the least enjoyable job. That's life!
